A new promotional video was released for the TV anime Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo (I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History). The video focuses on Alicia Williams, the protagonist of the show, and it confirms that the anime will premiere on October 1st, 2024, on the Tokyo MX channel.

Yanase Yuuji is directing the anime at Moho Film studio, and the anime stars Nakamura Kanna as Alicia Williams, Ishikawa Kaito as Duke Seeker, Takahashi Rei as Jill, Yanaka Hiroshi as Will and Iwami Manaka as Cather Liz.
The anime is an adaptation of Oukido Izumi’s light novel series titled Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo: Akuyaku Reijou ni Naru Hodo Ouji no Dekiai wa Kasoku Suru You Desu!. Oukido started the story in December 2018 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the series’ first novel with illustrations by Hayase Jyun (Jeanette the Genius, Yubiwa no Eranda Konyakusha) in August 2019 and the sixth novel in March 2024.
The novels were also adapted into a manga by Hoshi Akari in September 2020 in Kadokawa’s B-LOG COMIC, and Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2020 and the fourth volume in August 2023.
