Kodokawa confirmed this week that the Arafou Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan Seikatsu (The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World) manga by Umiharu has been green-lit for a TV anime in 2025. The anime will star Suwabe Junichi as the protagonist, Kenichi.

Umiharu (After School!) started the manga in April 2019 in the Monthly G Fantasy magazine. Square Enix released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2019 and the seventh volume in February 2024. The manga’s final chapter was published in May 2024, and the eighth and final volume is set to be released on December 27th, 2024.
The manga is an adaptation of the light novel series of the same name, created by Asakura Hifumi. Asakura started the story in 2017 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and SB Creative published the first novel in the series, with illustrations by Yamakawa (Isekai Yururi Kikou: Kosodate Shinagara Boukensha Shimasu), in May 2018. The third and final novel was released in April 2019.
Kenichi, a single man who’s almost 40, is suddenly transferred to another world. As he navigates his way through the dangerous forests of that world, he realizes that he can use a huge online shopping site. Kenichi aims to use his cheat ability to live a slow life in another world!
