Doraemon’s official YouTube channel released a trailer for the 44th film in the Doraemon franchise. The film, titled Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Esekai Monogatari, will be released in Japan on March 7th, 2025.

Teramoto Yukiyo is directing the film, which commemorates the 45th anniversary of the Doraemon films, and Itou Satoshi is writing the script. Teramoto previously directed the film Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Shin Makai Daibouken – Shichinin no Mahoutsukai (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s New Great Adventure into the Underworld), which premiered in 2007, making her the first female director in the Doraemon film franchise.

The official website for the new Doraemon film states that the film is an entirely original story in which Doraemon and his friends jump into the world of paintings and embark on a great adventure! The story is set in the magnificent world of medieval Europe, depicted in a painting.
