Kadokawa has released a promotional video introducing the main cast for the Hime Kishi wa Barbaroi no Yome (The Barbarian’s Bride) TV anime and unveiled the first key visual. The anime will debut in the autumn of 2025.

The anime will star Suzushiro Sayumi as Serafina de Lavillant, Inomata Satoshi as Veor, Hishikawa Hana as Cersei and Toyosaki Aki as Alyssa Marsius.
The anime is based on Hime Kishi wa Barbaroi no Yome (The Barbarian’s Bride) manga by Kotoba Noriaki. Kotoba started the ongoing manga in January 2021 in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2021 and the eighth volume in October 2024. The manga’s ninth volume will be released on April 9th, 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in English under the name The Barbarian’s Bride and it will release the third volume on May 6th, 2025. It describes the story below:
Serafina de Lavillant, the strongest female knight in the West, was sent to subjugate the barbaric tribes of the East. But when her mission fails spectacularly, she’s captured alive and imprisoned.
