The first trailer for the animated adaptation of Azuma Sawayoshi’s Oroka na Tenshi wa Akuma to Odoru was revealed by Kadokawa last Monday, along with a premiere date for January 2024 and a new visual. The anime is produced by Children’s Playground Entertainment in collaboration with GAINA and directed and scripted by Kawasaki Itsurou (Arc the Lad, Chrome Shelled Regios, Magical Girl Ore). Uchida Yuuma (Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen) voices the protagonist. Crunchyroll will air the series in simulcast.

Azuma launched the manga in ASCII Media WorksDengeki Maoh on June 27, 2016. The sixteenth tankoubon volume will be released on October 26, along with the first volume of the spin-off series Midara na Sotai wa Sei ni Mezameru, illustrated by Suimin (Ishuzoku Joshi ni ○○ Suru Hanashi).

With demons facing defeat in their war against the forces of heaven and losing the will to fight, a demon descends to Earth to find a candidate for a leader to rally his brethren, infiltrating a Japanese high school named Masatora Akutsu.
