The TV anime adaptation of Pomu‘s web manga Senpai wa Otokonoko (This is Him) will premiere in July 2024. The news was confirmed this week at the Fuji TV Anime Lineup Press Conference 2024 event. The anime will air in the noitaminA programming block on Fuji TV, and Crunchyroll will stream it.

Yanagi Shinsuke (Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki, The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done!) directs the anime at Project No.9 studio. The anime will star Umeda Shuichirou as Makato Hanoaka, Sekine Akira as Saki Aoi, and Uchida Yuma as Ryuji Taig.
Pomu started the web manga in 2019 on the LINE Manga app, and Ichijinsha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in November 2021 and the seventh volume in November 2023.
Can true love overcome any obstacles? Saki, a high school student, confesses her feelings to Makoto.
