Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior magazine has confirmed that Inagaki Riichirou and Ikegami Ryouichi’s Trillion Game manga will be on hiatus until August this year due to Ikegami’s poor health. The manga will resume in the magazine’s 17th issue, available for sale on August 9th, 2024.
Inagaki (Dr. Stone, EyeShield, Chou Kochikame) and Ikegami (Crying Freeman, Heat, Lord) started the manga in December 2020 in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior magazine, and Shogakukan published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2021. The manga’s latest volume, number nine, was released in April 2024.
The manga centers on the carefree Haru and the serious Gaku, two men who plot to earn a trillion dollars so that they can afford anything they might ever want. The manga has inspired a live-action adaptation in Japan in July 2023, a TV anime adaptation that will premiere in October 2024, and a live-action film set to be released in 2025.
