The anime is scheduled to debut on Japanese TV on January 4th, 2026, on the BS 11 channel and on January 6th, 2026, on the Tokyo MX channel. AnimeFesta and OceanVeil will stream the uncensored version of the anime as it airs.
OceanVeil will stream the anime’s first episode early on December 12th, 2025, with English subtitles, and it will stream all future episodes in conjunction with the TV broadcast date and time.

OceanVeil describes the Ichiko Aika anime’s story below:
“Hey, nice to meet ya~♪”
…She sounded dumb. That cute first impression was shattered instantly.
After Kota’s father remarried, the girl who became his stepsister turned out to be a super-bratty, trend-obsessed gyaru…?! Whenever our parents are away, Kota’s life is flipped upside down by Aika’s free-spirited chaos.
Aika plays the “perfect daughter” in front of their parents, but when left on her own, she’s a full-blown teenage disaster.
And stuck with her is Kota—nit-picky, straight-laced, and constantly fed up.
They can’t even last three seconds in the same room without trading insults—witness the birth of the worst brother-sister relationship ever!
… But maybe—just maybe—Kota’s strict, responsible nature is exactly what Aika needs…?!
Konno Pyuta is directing the anime at Studio Houboshi, and the anime will star:
- Yurimoto Hana as Aika Takamura
- Ikarashi Yuuta as Kota Takamura
- Momosuke as Yoshiyuki Takamura
- Haruno Iroha as Misaki Takamura

The anime is based on the Ichiko Aika: Zatsu de Namaiki na Imouto to Warikirenai Ani adult manga by author Hirafumi and illustrator Shinba Yagi. The full-colour manga was first released digitally on DEDEDE’s Comic Cmoa service in November 2022, and CLLENN released the manga’s first three tankoubon volumes digitally on September 5th, 2025.
