The first chapter of the manga Monster no Niku wo Kutteitara Ooi ni Tsuita Ken (The Case of Ascending the Throne After Consuming Monster Flesh) by Suzuragi Karin (Super Danganronpa 2: Nanami Chiaki no Sayonara Zetsubou Daibouken) was published in the February 2024 issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero magazine. The February 2024 issue is available from January 9th, 2024.
The manga is an adaptation of the light novel series created by Daken. GCN Bunko published the first novel in September 2023, and the second novel will be published on January 19th, 2024.
Mars, the first prince of the Kingdom of Falun, fears being assassinated. Since his food is highly likely to contain poison, he spends his days hunting monsters in the forest outside the castle and eating their meat to stave off hunger. One night, a beautiful red-haired woman carrying a large sword appears before Mars and tells him, “You have great prospects; become my disciple.” Because of a single misunderstanding, a boy becomes the strongest king (even though he never wanted to).
