The game publisher Rainy Frog released a trailer for the El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron HD Remaster game this week. The trailer confirms the release date for the game’s Nintendo Switch version as April 28th, 2024.

Pre-orders for the game and its limited edition – which includes a drama CD and script that tell the story of the world after the game – will start this week.
The original game was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in April 2011, followed by North America and Europe in August and September 2011, respectively. The PC version was launched via Steam in September 2021. In April 2022, game developer Crim’s president Sawaki Takeyasu announced that the game was getting a port for Switch. It has also been confirmed that the port is the game’s PC version.
