Hoshikawa Shiwasu’s Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chuuya, Juugosai (Bungo Stray Doys: Dazai, Chuuya Age Fifteen) manga is listed as ending with the fourth volume, which will be released on October 4th, 2024.
Hoshikawa started the manga in September 2022 in Kadokawa’s Shounen Ace magazine, and Kadokawa published the first tankoubon volume in February 2023 and the third volume in March 2024.
The manga is a spinoff of the seventh novel in the Bungo Stray Dogs novel series by Asagiri Kafka and Harukawa Sango. The seventh novel, titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chuuya, Juugosai, was released in August 2019.
Asagiri and Harukawa started the ongoing Bungo Stray Dogs manga in December 2012 in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine, and Kadokawa published the first volume in April 2013 and the 25th volume in June 2024. They adapted the manga into a light novel series in April 2014, and Kadokawa released the eighth novel in December 2023.
The manga was adapted into a TV anime in April 2016. The anime received a second season, which premiered in October 2016, a third season in April 2019, a fourth season in January 2023, and a fifth season in July 2023. The franchise also got an anime film in March 2018 titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple. All five anime seasons and the anime film are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Seven years before the events of Bungo Stray Dogs, a young Osamu Dazai is ordered by Ougai Mori to investigate an ominous rumor―there have been sightings of Mori’s deceased predecessor, and the new Mafia boss would very much like for the dead to stay buried. Along the way, Dazai runs into a gravity manipulator named Chuuya Nakahara, leader of the teenage Sheep gang. Together, the two will one day achieve infamy as the fearsome duo Twin Dark, but for now, they’ll have to learn to cooperate if they want to get to the bottom of this mystery…
