Publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Quebec have confirmed the delay of their Assassin’s Creed Shadows game to February 14th, 2025. The game was initially planned for release on November 15th, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store, Mac via App Store, and Luna.

Staff for the game have confirmed the reason for the delay and have assured players that existing pre-orders will be refunded while future pre-orders will receive the first expansion for free. They have also announced that the game will be available on PC via Steam.

Ubisoft describes the game as an epic historical action-adventure story set in feudal Japan! Become a lethal shinobi Assassin and a powerful legendary samurai as you explore a beautiful open world in a time of chaos. Switch seamlessly between two unlikely allies as you discover their common destiny. Master complementary playstyles, create your shinobi league, customize your hideout, and usher in a new era for Japan.
