The official website for the TV anime Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai (Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms) released the show’s promotional video, a character video for Mona, and it confirmed that the anime will premiere in 2025.

Okumura Yoshiaki (Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei, Elementhunters, Juusen Battle Monsuno) is directing the anime at Synergy studio, and the anime will star Serizawa Yuu as Mona Kawai and Iwasaki Ryouta as Medaka Kuroiwa.
The anime is an adaptation of the manga by Kuze Ran. Kuze (Artist for Tenshin – World War Angel and Tokyo Ravens: Sword of Song) started the manga as a one-shot story in December 2020 and began serializing it in May 2021 in Kondansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. Kodansha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2021 and the 14th volume in May 2024. The 15th volume will be released on July 17th, 2024.
Mona is the cutest girl in school, and she knows it. In fact, she’s worked hard to make her high school debut successful. But no matter what she does, she can’t seem to catch the eye of stone-cold stoic Medaka Kuroiwa—but she’s not about to give up that easy. Medaka, on the other hand, was raised at a temple and was told never to become close to women. Who will win in this heated battle of wills?
