Harunadon’s Replica Datte, Koi o Suru (Even a Replica Can Fall in Love) light novel series has been green-lit for a TV anime.

Kadokawa published Harunadon’s first novel with illustrations by raemz in February 2023 and the fourth novel in July 2024. Yen Press publishes the novel series in English under the name Even a Replica Can Fall in Love and will release the third novel on July 15th, 2025. Yen Press describes the novel’s story below:
When she doesn’t feel well, when there’s a test or when she doesn’t want to go to school…I take her place. I’m her replica. I’m not meant for anything else. But that changed when I fell in love. I wear my hair up so the boy I fell for knows it’s me. We skip school and promise to meet again tomorrow–and every day after. I’m her replica. Everything about me is borrowed and empty, but my heart is mine.
The light novel series was also adapted into a manga in April 2023 by Hanada Momose in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh magazine. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in November 2023 and the third volume in December 2024. The manga’s chapters are released in English by Kadokawa’s BookWalker Global.
