The official website for the Kowloon Generic Romance TV anime has revealed a trailer and teaser visual for the show and confirmed that it will premiere in April 2025.

Iwasaki Yoshiaki (Love Hina, Boku-tachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai) is directing the anime at Arvo Animation studio, and the anime will star:
- Shiraishi Haruka as Reiko Kujirai
- Sugita Tomokazu as Hajime Kudou
- Okiayu Ryoutarou as Miyuki Hebinuma
- Ban Taito as Tao Gwen
- Koga Aoi as Yaomay
- Suzushiro Sayumi as Xiaohe
The anime is an adaptation of Mayuzuki Jun’s Kowloon Generic Romance manga. Mayuzuki (Koi wa Ameagari no youni) started the romance manga in November 2019 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, and Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in February 2020. The manga’s 10th volume was released in October 2024. Yen Press publishes the manga in English and will release the ninth volume on January 21st, 2025.
Reiko Kujirai, who works at a real estate agency in the nostalgic town of Kowloon Walled City, is attracted to her senior employee, Kudo Hajime. One day, when she realizes that she is in love, she finds out from a photo that Kudo was once engaged but that his fiance looks exactly like her. The existence of another Reiko Kujirai makes her realize that she has no memory of the past.
Everyday life unfolds in the mysterious and beautiful town of Kowloon. Scenes that feel nostalgic even though she has no memory. And an unstoppable love. As the timelines of the past and present intersect, love will unravel all the secrets.
