The anime is based on the ongoing One Piece manga created by Eiichiro Oda. Oda began serializing the manga in July 1997 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, with the company publishing the manga’s most recent tankoubon volume, 107th, in November 2023. The manga has also inspired numerous movies and even a live-action series by Netflix, which debuted in 2023. One Piece is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
Gol D. Roger, a man known as the “Pirate King,” is about to be executed by the World Government. Twenty-two years later, a young man named Monkey D. Luffy is ready to embark on his adventure, searching for One Piece and striving to become the new Pirate King. Armed with just a straw hat, a small boat, and an elastic body, he sets out on a fantastic journey to gather his crew and a worthy ship that will take them across the Grand Line to claim the most extraordinary status on the high seas.
