Kadokawa Books announced this week that the light novel series Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha (Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits) by writer Matsuura and illustrator Keepout has been greenlit for a TV anime adaptation.

Matsuura started the light novel series in 2016 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, ending in 2020. Kadokawa published the light novels’ first volume with illustrations by Keepout in 2018; the ninth and final volume was published in October 2022.

Ohhori Yutaka published a manga adaptation of the light novel series in September 2018 in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine. Square Enix will publish the manga’s 10th tankoubon book volume on January 25, 2024.
