Staff for the Make Heroine ga Ouisugiru! (Too Many Losing Heroines!) TV anime have confirmed that the show has been green-lit for a second season.

Kitamura Shoutarou (Cardfight!! Vanguard Gaiden if, Kaguya-sama: Love is War Ultra Romantic episode director) directed the anime’s first season at A-1 Pictures. The anime premiered in July 2024, and all 12 episodes can be streamed on Crunchyroll under the name Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!
The anime is based on the Make Heroine ga Ousugiru! light novel series created by Amamori Takibi and illustrated by Imigimuru. The first novel was released in 2021 under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko label, and the seventh novel was published in July 2024. The eighth novel will be released on May 19th, 2025.
The novels have also inspired a manga adaptation created by Itachi (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai). The manga was first published in April 2022 in Shogakukan’s Manga ONE service under the name Make Heroine ga Ousugiru! @comic and Shogakukan published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2022 and the fourth in January 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the novels and the manga adaptation in English under the name Too Many Losing Heroines!. It will release the fourth novel digitally on April 24th, 2025 and in print on May 27th, 2025. The manga’s third volume will be released digitally and in print on May 6th, 2025.
