A TV anime adaptation of the light novel series Party kara Tsuihou Sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsuwa Saikyou ni Tsuki (The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party is Actually the Strongest), has been green-lit for 2024. The light novels are written by Kagekinoko and illustrated by Rantan Kakao.
The news of the anime adaptation was confirmed this week by Studio Elle, which will be producing the anime with Ounishi Keisuke acting as the director. The anime will star Ono Kensho as Raust and Maeda Kaori as Narusena.
Kagekinoko first published the story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2018, and it was last updated in December 2022. Futabasha released the fourth novel in print in August 2020. The light novels have also inspired a manga adaptation by Narumi Miwa, released in February 2020 on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website. The anime adaptation also lists the manga adaptation as part of the original work. Futabasha released the manga’s eighth tankoubon volume in December 2023.
The story centers on the healer Raust and the martial artist Narusena. Raust is a member of a first-rate party, but he can only use the low-level magic “heal. ” Raust gets booted from his party, and the story follows him as he looks for new members to party with and finds friends who recognize his worth.
