The website for Shueisha’s Ribon magazine confirmed last week that Makino Aoi‘s manga Sayonara Miniskirt (Not Your Idol) would resume serialization in the magazine’s May 2024 issue after a five-year hiatus. The magazine’s May issue will be available from April 3rd, 2024.

Makino started the manga in August 2018 in Ribon magazine, and Shueisha published the first tankoubon volume in November 2018. The second volume was released in March 2019. The manga entered hiatus in 2019, and its last chapter was published in the June 2019 issue of the magazine. The manga was also published on the Shonen Jump+ app. Viz Media publishes the manga in English; the second volume was released in September 2020.

In 2019, Sayonara Miniskirt was nominated for the 23rd Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, and in 2020, it topped the list of female readers for the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings.
