The April 2024 issue of Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine confirmed this week that Toudou Ruka’s manga Jigoku Kura Yami Hana mo Naki (Hell is Dark with No Flowers) will end in the magazine’s May 2024 issue. The May issue will be available for sale from April 4th, 2024.
Toudou began the manga in 2020 in the Young Ace magazine, and Kadokawa released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2020. The manga’s ninth volume was published on February 2nd, 2024.
The manga is an adaptation of Michio Yoru’s light novel series of the same name. Kadokawa released the first novel in the series in May 2018, and the most recent novel, number eight, was released on February 24th, 2023. Yen Press will release the series’ first novel in English in August 2024.
Seiji Tohno sometimes sees the people around him as monsters. It is a curse that drives him to a life of despair, living out of internet cafés with nowhere to call home, but all that changes one evening when he stumbles across a vast European mansion. There, Seiji meets a bewitchingly beautiful boy dressed in a kimono with a white peony motif on the shoulder, who introduces himself as Shiroshi Saijou. This mysterious young man seems to know more about Seiji than he does himself, and before he knows it, Seiji has agreed to become Shiroshi’s assistant in exchange for room and board. Little does he know, however, that this “proxy service,” as Shiroshi puts it, is none other than outsourced death!
