This week, Nintendo released a new video confirming that they will publish two remastered games in the Mario franchise. The first game to be released is the remastered Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door game on May 23rd, 2024, and the second game will be the remastered Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon under the name Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD on June 27th, 2024.

The original Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door game was released in Japan in July 2004 for the Nintendo GameCube and in October 2004 in North America and Europe. The latest game in the Paper Mario series was Paper Mario: The Origami King, released in July 2020 for Nintendo Switch.
The original Luigi’s Mansion game was launched in 2001 for GameCube, and the sequel game, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, was released in 2013 for Nintendo 3DS. A remake of the first game was published in October 2018 for Nintendo 3DS, and Luigi’s Mansion 3 was released in October 2019 for Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has also confirmed they will add Dr. Mario, Mario Golf, and Mario Tennis games to the Nintendo Switch Online Library on March 12th, 2024.
