Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has confirmed that Matsuena Shun‘s manga Kimi wa 008 (You Are Double-O Eight) will end in five chapters. The news was confirmed in this year’s 17 issue of the magazine, which released chapter 292 of the manga.
Matsuena (Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi, Tokiwa Kitareri!!, Waza no Tabibito) started the manga in February 2018, and Shogakukan published the first tankoubon volume in May 2018. The latest volume, number 30, was released on March 18th, 2024.
The spy action story centers on high school student Eito Akashi, who is discouraged about the prospect of failing his exams. Although he has no memory of taking them, he receives notice that he passed. He is thrown into a previously unknown world, as the school he enters is a training center for secret agents.
