MAGES announced this week that Miyajima Reiji’s Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent-A-Girlfriend) manga and anime adaptation is inspiring a game for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game, titled Kanojo, Okarishimasu: Suiheisen to Mizugi no Kanojo (Rent-A-Girlfriend: The Girl of the Horizon and a Swimsuit), will have an original storyline and be released later this year. Players can pre-order the game from August 5th, 2024.

Miyajima (Mononote – Edo Shinobi, Shiunji-ke no Kodomo-tachi) started the manga in July 2017 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2017. The manga’s 37th volume will be released on July 17th, 2024.
The manga was adapted into a TV anime in 2020. The anime’s first season premiered in July 2020, the second in July 2022, and the third in July 2023; the fourth season is set to debut in 2025. All 36 episodes over the first three seasons can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
