It’s been confirmed that Misu Shinya’s Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai (My Childhood Friend Won’t Become a Romantic Comedy) manga has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. The anime will be animated by Tenzeka Productions, and it will premiere in 2026. A promotional video and teaser visual have been released.

Misu started the manga in March 2022 on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2022. The manga’s 15th volume will be released on April 9th, 2025.
