The anticipated mobile game, Captain Tsubasa: Ace, announced the open beta test of the officially licensed mobile football game. Program Twenty-Three developed the game, and is available for pre-registration on the App Store and Google Play. According to the official website, the game has already reached over 1 million pre-registrations.

Captain Tsubasa: Ace is based on the iconic Japanese manga series by Takahashi Yōichi, which follows the football protagonist Tsubasa Ozora. The original 37-volume manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1981 to 1988. The manga inspired four television anime series, four anime films and several OVAs.
