Staff for the Kill Ao (Kill Blue/ キルアオ) TV anime have announced that the series will get a second season. The anime is based on Fujimaki Tadatoshi’s Kill Ao manga, and Fujimaki has released an illustration in celebration of the news.

Kaburahi Hiro directed the first season at CUE studios, and the anime premiered on April 17th, 2026, with the last episode airing on June 27th, 2026. Crunchyroll streamed the anime under the name Kill Blue, and it described the story below:

“Legendary hitman Juzo Ogami has never failed an assignment. But after a mission, he’s stung by a mysterious wasp and wakes up in the body of a 13-year-old boy! And to make things even weirder, he receives a bizarre new order: infiltrate a middle school. Now the once-feared assassin must balance the chaos of school life with his deadly work, all while searching for a way to regain his adult body!”

Fujimaki (Kuroko no Basuke) serialised the manga from April 2023 to September 2025 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2023 and the 13th and final volume in December 2025.Kill Ao Manga Cover 1

The manga was adapated into a novel, titled Kill Ao Secret Report (Kill Blue Secret Report), written by Hoshi Kiyoko in December 2025.

Viz Media publishes the manga in English under the name Kill Blue, and it will release the eighth volume on August 11th, 2026. Viz Media describes the manga below:

“Juzo Ogami’s a legend. Even among hit men, his name sends shivers down spines. There’s never been a job he couldn’t handle—that is, until the day he wakes up as a teenager!
