The anime is directed by Tokumoto Yoshinobu at Nexus studio, and it will star Inagaki Konomi as Youko and Tomita Miyu as Airi.
The anime is an adaptation of Saitou Sakae’s Shuumatsu Touring manga. Saitou started the manga in September 2020 in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh magazine, and Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in April 2021 and the seventh volume in March 2025. The manga’s eighth volume is scheduled for release on October 27th, 2025.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English under the name Touring After the Apocalypse, and it released the sixth volume in July 2025. It describes the story below:
“All alone after the end of days, two girls ride through the desolate ruins of Japan—but they’re not about to let the collapse of civilisation get in the way of sightseeing! From the hot springs of Hakone to the massive Tokyo Big Sight, they’ve got the run of the country’s most popular tourist spots all to themselves, so why not make the most of it?”
