Staff for the Dark Auction game have announced that it will be released in the West, with the game’s first demo being released on October 10th, 2025, for PC via Steam.
The game’s demo allows players to experience the prologue of the story. Explore a creepy old castle and uncover the secrets hidden within the auctioned items. Use the game’s unique Word Cloud System to combine keywords and solve mysteries.
Developed by Izanagi Games Inc. and Good Smile Company, it will be released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on January 29th, 2026, with Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese language options.

“Noah sets out alone into a mysterious castle deep in the Black Forest in search of his father, who never returned after attending a secret auction. There, he witnesses a shocking scene and encounters something that… should not be of this world. Soon, Noah realises he is trapped in the castle along with other participants. To uncover the truths hidden in the auction items, he must follow the rules and take part in this strange auction.”
Dark Auction is a deep, compelling mystery adventure with a script and scenario written by Rika Suzuki, known for her brilliant work on Another Code and Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Also featuring character design by Kohske, the author/illustrator of GANGSTA., and music by Monster Hunter composer Yuko Komiyama.
