Kodansha’s Weekly Young magazine confirmed that Yamakawa Noaki and Asaki Masashi’s My Home Hero manga will end in five chapters. The manga will be taking a break and will resume in the magazine’s 31st issue on July 1st, 2024, to start the final five chapters. The manga’s latest chapter was released on June 10th, 2024, in the magazine’s 28th issue.
Yamakawa and Asaki (Kunimitsu no Matsuri, Psychometrer Eiji, Shibatora) started the manga in May 2017 in Kodansha’s Weekly Young magazine, and Kodansha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2017 and the 24th volume in April 2024. The manga’s 25th volume will be published on July 5th, 2024.
The manga was adapted into a live-action series in October 2023 and a live-action movie in March 2024. The manga’s anime adaptation premiered in April 2023, and all 12 episodes can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
The story centers on a salaryman who has a reliable wife and a daughter in university who can sometimes act a bit rebellious but has a happy life in his own way. One day, he finds out his daughter has been beaten, and thus begins his journey into a dangerous world to protect his family.
