Staff for the TV anime 3-Nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei (Class 3-Z’s Teacher Ginpachi) have revealed a new teaser trailer for the show, which will premiere in October 2025 on TV Tokyo.

The anime is based on the 3-Nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei light novel series by Oosaki Tomohito (Occultalk!, Naruto: Sakura’s Story). The novel is a spin-off of Sorachi Hideaki’s Gintama manga.
Oosaki’s spin-off novel series was first published in 2006, and Shueisha published the latest novel on December 4th, 2024. The 3-Nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei novels are set in Gintama High School and follow the school’s teacher, Ginpachi Sakata, and his students. Excerpts of the novel were previously animated as shorts at the end of several episodes of the Gintama anime series.
The original Gintama manga started serialization in 2003 and ended in June 2019. Shueisha published the first tankoubon volume in April 2004 and the 77th and final volume in August 2019. The manga inspired several anime series, three anime films, two live-action films, and two live-action spin-offs.
