Nintendo has announced that Square Enix’s Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven remake game was launched for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 31st, 2025. The game is available in English, Japanese, French, Spanish and German, and it includes enhanced graphics with a higher resolution and higher framerate.

The remake game was launched digitally in October 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC via Steam. Physical editions of the game were only available for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Players who own the digital version of the game for Nintendo Switch can play the Nintendo Switch 2 version by purchasing the Upgrade Pack for the game.
