The Shiotaiou no Satou-san, Konomae Nanpa kara Tasukete kara Nanka Ore ni Dake Mechakucha Amakunai? (The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me/ 塩対応の佐藤さん、この前ナンパから助けてからなんか俺にだけメチャクチャ甘くない？) light novel series by Sawatari Kazama will get a TV anime in 2026. A promotional video and visual have been revealed for the anime.

Yoshimura Fumihiro is directing the anime at Tezuka Productions, and the anime will star Ishibashi Hiiro as Sota Oshio and Itou Miku as Koharu Sato.
Shogakukan published Sawatari’s first novel with illustrations by Achiki in December 2019. The series’s 12th novel was released on March 18th, 2026.
Tetsuyama Kaya started the manga adaptation in May 2020 on the Manga One, and Ura Sunday services titled Shiotaiou no Satou-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai @ comic. Shogakukan published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2020, and the manga’s 10th volume on March 18th, 2026.
Shogakukan’s NOVELOUS app is releasing the novel series and manga adaptation in English under the name The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me.
The story follows Sota Oshio, who works as a waiter at a cafe. One day discovers that Koharu Sato, who is rumoured to be “the cold-hearted Sato-san,” is actually just shy and awkward. From there, the distance between the two of them gradually shrinks… This is a romantic comedy depicting the first love of two people who have unrequited feelings for each other.
