The digital version of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has confirmed that the Choujun! Choujou Senpai (Super Psychic Policeman Chojo/ 超巡!超条先輩) manga by Numa Shun has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation.

It’s been confirmed that Yamamoto Junichi is directing the anime at Arvo Animation, and a teaser visual for the anime has been revealed, along with a celebratory illustration by Numa.

Manga author Numa started the manga in April 2023 as a one-shot story in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga began serialisation in February 2024 and ended in June 2025. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2024, and it released the eighth and final volume on September 4th, 2025.

Viz Media releases the manga chapters digitally in English under the name Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, and it will release the manga’s first volume from January 6th, 2026, onwards. Viz Media describes the manga below:

“On her first day at the West Chinjuku Police Station, Ippongi realises she got the short end of the stick: Her new partner, Chojo, uses his psychic powers to do everything except work. But after some yakuza threaten to take over Ippongi’s family’s dojo, Chojo begins to take his job more seriously, and the pair embark on a comedic whirlwind solving crimes, catching bad guys, and blundering their way through life as police officers.”
