Kodansha’s Magazine pocket has released a new chapter of the Tensei Shitara dai Nana Ouji dattanode, Kimamani Majutsu o Kiwamemasu ( I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability /転生したら第七王子だったので、気ままに魔術を極めます ) manga by Kokuzawa Yousuke on April 11th, 2026.
While the manga did post a short bonus chapter in February 2026, this is the first full chapter to be released since the start of the manga’s hiatus in November 2025.
Kokuzawa (Choujin Gakuen) started the manga in June 2020 in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga app. Kodansha published the first volume in November 2020 and the 22nd volume in February 2026. The 23rd volume will be released on May 8th, 2026.
The manga is based on the Tensei Shitara Dainana Ouji Datta no de, Kimamani Majutsu o Kiwamemasu (I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability/ 転生したら第七王子だったので、気ままに魔術を極めます) light novel series by Kenkyo na Circle.
Kenkyon na Circle started the light novel series in October 2019 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website. Kodansha began publishing the novel series in July 2020 with illustrations by Meru, and it released the 11th novel in Japan on April 2nd, 2026.
Kodansha USA Publishing released the manga in English under the name I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability, and it will release the manga’s 16th volume in October 2025. Kodansha USA Publishing describes the story below:
“Prince Lloyd wasn’t always a prince…in fact, his previous life is one he remembers perfectly: he was a sorcerer of sorts. So when he was forced to reincarnate, he decided to continue his studies, prince of the realm or not! But his new life has its own sets of challenges…including being a 10-year-old! What’s the 7th prince/sorcerer to do?!”
The light novel series was also adapated into an anime, which premiered in April 2024, with a second season in July 2025. The anime can be streamed on the Crunchyroll website under the name I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability.
