Square Enix released the Final Fantasy VII Remake game for PlayStation 4 in April 2020, and the enhanced version, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, was first released for PlayStation 5 in June 2021.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade game was later released for PC via the Epic Games Store in December 2021 and for PC via Steam in June 2022.
The game is described by Square Enix below:
“The story takes place in Midgar, a city built on the power of mako. This energy source is controlled by the Shinra Electric Power Company, an organisation that… well, let’s just say they’re not known for their altruism.
The adventure begins when Cloud Strife – mercenary and former SOLDIER operative – embarks on a mission to help the anti-Shinra group Avalanche sabotage one of the company’s mako reactors. But he’ll soon come to discover that Shinra isn’t the only threat in Midgar… and come face to face with a former hero turned enemy: Sephiroth.”
