Kadokawa has listed the 13th novel in the Shinsetsu Oukami to Koushinryou Oukami to Youhishi (Wolf & Parchment: New Theory Spice & Wolf/ 新説 狼と香辛料 狼と羊皮紙) series by Hasekura Isuna as the last book in the light novel series. The 13th novel is scheduled for release on November 8th, 2025.
The Shinsetsu Oukami to Koushinryou Oukami to Youhishi novel series is a sequel to the original Oukami to Koushinryou (Spice & Wolf /狼と香辛料) novel series written by Hasekura and illustrated by Ayakura Juu.
Kadokawa published Hasekura’s first novel in the original novel series in February 2006, with illustrations by Ayakura, and the 24th and latest novel in January 2023. The original novel series inspired various manga adaptations and spinoffs, TV anime adaptations and OVAs.
Hasekura started the sequel novel series, Shinsetsu Oukami to Koushinryou Oukami to Youhish, in 2016. Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Ayakura in September 2016 and the 12th novel in April 2025.
Yen Press publishes both the original novel series under the name Spice and Wolf and the sequel series under the name Wolf & Parchment: New Theory Spice & Wolf in English. The publisher released the 24th novel in the original novel series in August 2023, and it will release the 11th novel in the Wolf & Parchment: New Theory Spice & Wolf series on January 6th, 2026.

Manga Artist Hidori adapted the Shinsetsu Oukami to Koushinryou Oukami to Youhishi novel series into a manga in May 2019 in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2019 and the second volume in October 2020. Yen Press has released the manga adaptation in English under the name Wolf & Parchment.
