Staff for the Undead Unluck (アンデッドアンラック) TV anime have revealed a new trailer video and visual for the anime’s one-hour special. The special will premiere on December 25th, 2025, on the MBS and TBS and their affiliated channels.

The Undead Unluck TV anime premiered in October 2023 with a total of 24 episodes. The anime special, directed by Sung Hoo Park at E&H Production studios, is a sequel to the TV anime series. The 2023 TV anime series was based on Tozuka Yoshifumi’s Undead Unluck manga, and the anime special will feature a new original story written by Tozuka.
Manga author Tozuka started the original Undead Unluck story as a one-shot in January 2019 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, and in January 2020, it began serialisation. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in April 2020 and the 27th and final volume in April 2025.
The manga chapters can be read in English on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service, and the manga volumes can be purchased in English on Viz Media. Viz Media will release the manga’s 23rd volume on January 20th, 2026, and it describes the story below:
“All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favourite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her unlucky ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally!
