The official website for the Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi (転生悪女の黒歴史 /The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess) TV anime has revealed the show’s second promotional video and its main visual. It has also been confirmed that the anime will premiere in October 2025 on the TV Tokyo and BS11 channels.

Sakurai Hiroaki is directing the anime at Studio DEEN, and the anime will star:
- Aiyama Yoshino as Iana Magnolia
- M.A.O as Konoha Magnolia
- Komatsu Shouhei as Sol Nemophyra
- Furukawa Mokoto as Gilford Dandelion
- Toki Shunichi as Yomi Blacksarana
- Lounsbery Arthur as Cheneau Clematis
- Tamaru Atsushi as Mika
- Maeni Tomoaki as Yamato Hydrangea
The anime is based on the Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi manga by Touka Akiharu. Touka (Eros and Thanatos) first started the manga in August 2018 in Hakusensha’s Lala magazine, and Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2019. The manga’s 16th volume was released on May 2nd, 2025.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English under the name The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess. It will release the manga’s 12th volume on June 24th, 2025 and the 13th volume on September 23rd, 2025. Yen Press describes the story below:
“Konoha Satou has a dark history. After all, she spent her teen years writing self-indulgent fantasy romance fics-like her Dark History. But since she’s become its most despicable villainess, remembering every last detail is now a matter of life and death. Having avoided the first couple of death flags, Satou suddenly left in the dark when a mysterious stranger returns from the Lily Kingdom character she doesn’t recall writing in the original script. Although Yomi claims to be her ally, can Satou really trust a character she knows nothing about in such a dangerous world?”
