Pony Canyon has revealed that the Toumei Otoko to Ningen Onna: Sonouchi Fuufu ni Naru Futari (The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife) manga by Iwatobineko has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation in 2025. A teaser visual for the anime has been revealed, along with a commemorative message and illustration from the manga’s author.
The anime’s story is a heartwarming and slightly frustrating love comedy. Akira Tonome is a gentleman (Invisible man) who runs a detective agency, and Shizuka Yako is a gentle (human woman) who works at his office. Even though he can disappear by becoming invisible, Shizuka, who is blind, somehow always knows where Akira is. The invisible pair gradually become drawn to each other.

Iwatobineko (Ningen no inai Kuni) started the manga on Twitter in 2021 and began serialization in the same year on the pixie Comic and Comic Natalie services. Futabasha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in November 2021 and the sixth volume on November 27th, 2024. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English under the name The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife. It released the manga’s fourth volume in September 2014 and will publish the fifth volume on March 4th, 2025.
