Suiseisha confirmed this week that the anime Taishou Itsuwari Bridal: Migawari Hanayome to Gunpuku no Mouai (Taisho Era Contract Marriage: The Substitute Bride and a Soldier’s Fierce Love) will premiere on October 6th, 2024, and it revealed the anime’s key visual.
Watanabe Takashi (Genjitsushugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki, Slayers Try, Demon King Daimao) will direct the anime at Studio Houkiboshi, and the anime will star Satou Mashiro as Hiroko Touno, Karasuma Sora as Asako Touno and Itsuka Tenhou as Shintarou Kido. The show will premiere in Japan on the AnimeFesta website and on the Coolmic website, uncensored and with English subtitles. It will then premiere on TV on the Tokyo MX and BS 11 channels.
The anime is based on Kanzaki Yuzu’s Haramu Made Midareike: Migawari Hanayome to Gunpuku no Mouai (Until You Bear My Child: The Substitute Bride and the Beast Soldier) manga. Kanzaki started the manga in December 2022 on WWWave Corporations’s ComicFesta website, and Suiseisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2023 and the second in May 2024. The manga’s third volume will be released on October 18th, 2024. The manga is available in English on the Coolmic website.
