The official Twitter account for the TV anime Haigakura has revealed a new character video and confirmed that the anime will premiere on October 7th, 2024, on the Tokyo MX channel and then on the Sun TV and BS Asahi channels.

Yamamoto Junichi is directing the anime at Typhoon Graphics studio, and the anime will star Outsuka Takeo as Ichiyou and Ishikawa Kaito as Tenkou.
The anime is an adaptation of Takayama Shinobu’s Haigakura manga, which began serialization in 2008 in Ichijinsha’s Zero-Sum Ward magazine. The magazine ceased publication in 2015, and the manga was moved to Zero-Sum Online. Ichijinsha has since published 16 tankoubon volumes, the latest of which was released in August 2023.
The manga is set in a secluded realm where deities and mortals dwell. A youth named Ichiyou sets out to capture the gods who have fled and scattered all over the realm. With the subordinate god Tenkou, Ichiyou seeks the four evil gods holding the key to the realm’s collapse.
