Kazumi Akio (Souten no Ken REGENESIS) is directing the anime at Hayabusa Film and Passione studios, and the anime will star Umeda Shuuichirou as Haruka, the protagonist of the show.

The anime is based on Goji Shoji’s Hitoribotchi no Isekai Kouryaku light novel series. Goji started the story in 2016 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and publisher Overlap released the first novel in January 2018. The first two novels were illustrated by booota (Ankoku Joshi, Hige o Soru. Soshite Joshi Kousei o Hirou), and all novels since then, including the 14th novel released in April 2024, have been illustrated by Enamaru Saku. Seven Seas Entertainment released the novels in English and will publish the 10th volume on November 12, 2024.
