Staff for the TV anime Ame to Kimi to (雨と君と / With You and the Rain) have revealed a new visual and confirmed that the show will premiere on July 5th, 2025. The anime will air on TV Asahi and 23 of its affiliated channels, and Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs.
Tsukimisato Tomohiro (Bikkuri-Men, Tanuki to Kitsune, Kirakira Kirari) is directing the anime at Lesprit Studio, and the anime will star:

- Yomoto Yuzu as Kii Ella Krause

The anime is based on Nikaido Kou’s Ame to Kimi to (With You and the Rain) manga. Nikaido started the manga in August 2020 in Kodansha’s Young Magazine, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2021 and the seventh in September 2024. The manga’s eighth volume will be released on July 4th, 2025.
The manga is released in English by Kodansha USA Publishing, and it released the manga’s seventh volume in February 2025. It describes the story below:
“If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it’s a dog, it’s…a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this “dog” will never be boring!”
