Yatsu Hiroyuki and Tsuji Hideki‘s Souten no Ken: Re: Genesis (Fist of the Blue Sky Regenesis/ 蒼天の拳 リジェネシス ) manga will end with the release of its sixth tankoubon volume, which is scheduled for publication on November 20th, 2025.
Yatsu and Tsuji started the Souten no Ken: Re: Genesis manga in October 2017 in Coamix’s Monthly Comic Zenon. The manga went on hiatus in May 2020 and returned in November 2024. Coamix released the manga’s first volume in March 2018 and its fifth volume on July 18th, 2025.
The manga was adapted into an anime in April 2018, and it received a second season in October 2018. Crunchyroll streams all 24 episodes for the anime under the name Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis, and it describes the anime’s story below:
“The year is 193X in Shanghai, the city where lives are valued least. The rivalry between the two factions controlling the underworld, the Green Gang and Red Flower Gang, reaches its peak and is nearing its end with a Green Gang victory. The individuals responsible for the revival of the Green Gang, Kasumi Kenshiro and Yu-Ling, are enjoying a brief rest from the conflict. Meanwhile, in Harbin, Liu Fei-yan and Erika Arendt are carefully transporting something. With their course set for Shanghai, they are headed to meet French intelligence officer Charles de Guise.”
The Souten no Ken: Re: Genesis manga is a sequel to the Souten no Ken (Fist of the Blue Sky/ 蒼天の拳 ) manga by Buronson, Horie Nobuhiko and Hara Tetsuo, which ran from May 2001 to August 2010, on Shinchosha’s Weekly Comic Bunch magazine. Shinchosha released a total of 22 volumes for the manga.
The Souten no Ken manga was a prequel to the Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star/ 北斗の拳 ) manga by Buronson and Hara, which ran from 1983 to 1988 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Shueisha released a total of 27 volumes for the Hokuto no Ken manga.
