Kadokawa has announced that the Mezametara Saikyou Soubi to Uchuusen Mochi Datta no de, Ikkodate Mezashite Youhei Toshite Jiyuu ni Ikitai (Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship!) light novel series by Ryuuto and Nabeshima Tetsuhiro has been green-lit for an anime adaptation. At this time, no further details regarding the anime have been provided.
Ryuuto (Goshujin-sama to Yuku Isekai Survival!) started the ongoing story in February 2019 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Nabeshima (108-Kai Korosareta Akuyaku Reijou, Moto Yuusha wa Shizuka ni Kurashitai and Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru) in July 2019 and the 13th novel in September 2024. The 14th novel will be released on February 10th, 2025.
Matsui Shinichi adapted the light novel series into a manga in November 2019 on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in April 2020 and the ninth volume on January 23rd, 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the novel series and the manga adaptation in English. It will release the 12th novel on June 17th, 2025 and the manga’s eighth volume on March 25th, 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story below:
