It’s been announced that the Destiny Unchain Online: Kyuuketsuki Shoujo to Natte, Yagate “Aka no Maō” to Yobareru You ni Narimashita (Destiny Unchain Online: How I Became the Crimson Devil/ Ｄｅｓｔｉｎｙ Ｕｎｃｈａｉｎ Ｏｎｌｉｎｅ ～吸血鬼少女となって、やがて『赤の魔王』と呼ばれるようになりました～) light novel series and manga franchise will be adapted into a TV anime. The novels are written by resn, and Yachimoto is both the illustrator for the novels and the artist behind the manga adaptation.

Yachimoto released an illustration in celebration of the anime news.
Author resn started the original story in May 2020 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website and in June 2021 resumed the story on Kadokawa’s Kakuyomu website. Kodansha published the first novel in November 2022 with illustrations by Yachimoto, and the third novel was released in June 2026.
Yachimoto started the manga adaptation in July 2022 in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app, which was some months before the first novel was released in print. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2022, and its 13th volume will be released on August 7th, 2026.
Kodansha’s K MANGA service releases the manga chapters digitally in English under the name Destiny Unchain Online: How I Became the Crimson Devil, and it describes the manga story below:
