The Houkago no Idol ni wa Himitsu ga Aru (Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret/ 放課後のアイドルには秘密がある) manga by Amane Kashiko had been green-lit for a TV anime, which will premiere in April 2027. An image for the anime has been revealed, along with the names for some of the cast members.

Sato Hikaru is directing the anime at Gekkou studios, and the anime will star Touno Hikaru as Rei Kuromiya, Kawashima Reiji as Hizashi Hiruno, Maeshima Ami as Sora Konno and Noguchi Iori as Sakura Akai.
Author Amane started the manga in September 2022 on Hakusensha’s Young Anime website, and Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in February 2023. The manga’s ninth volume was released in July 2026, and the 10th volume is scheduled for release on October 29th, 2026.
Yen Press releases the manga in English under the name Everyone’s Darling Has a Secret, and it published the manga’s fourth volume in June 2026. Yen Press describes the manga story below:
“Hizashi Hiruno, a freshman at a super-elite high school, has just finished his first academic proficiency test of the year.
