“Kanan the “Gourmet Devil” has descended upon the human world with one goal: to gorge herself on youthful souls. Her first target is high schooler Youji Kyougi—except her plan backfires horribly! Instead of her meal, he’s now her…boyfriend?! Even though she’s lived for thousands of years, Kanan has never known love! Can a devil survive the dangers of dates, hand-holding, and her very first romance?”

The anime is based on Nonco’s Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi manga, which started in June 2022 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2022, and it released the manga’s 13th volume in April 2026.

Seven Seas Entertainment will release the manga in English as an omnibus book, which will cover volumes 1 to 12. The omnibus volume, titled Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy (Omnibus), will be released on July 14th, 2026. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga story below:
“Kanan, a female demon, infiltrates a high school with the goal of devouring some delicious human souls. She sets her sights on the perfect target, a teen boy named Kyogi Yoji, and goes for the kill—only to somehow end up in a relationship with him instead?! Kanan’s never been in love before, and this oddly innocent demon creates absolute chaos as the two venture into romance with a first date and beyond!”
