Libre Publishing’s Magazine Be-Boy has confirmed that Narashima Sachi’s Cosmetic Playlover (コスメティック・プレイラバー) manga and its spinoff, Bitterness Playlover, will both end in the magazine’s December 2025 issue. The Magazine Be-Boy December 2025 issue will be available for sale from November 7th, 2025, and the cover is illustrated by Narashima Sachi.

Manga author Narashima started the Cosmetic Playlover manga in December 2017 in Libre Publishing’s Magazine Be-Boy, and Libre Publishing released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2018. The manga’s ninth volume was released in September 2024.
In July 2018, Narashima started the spinoff manga titled Bitterness Playlover in Magazine Be-Boy, which focuses on different characters, Keigo Kakizaki and Yukito Saionji. From October 2020 to July 2021, Narashima serialised another spinoff titled Twilight Playlover, which focuses on the characters Atsushi Nanjo and Iori Kosaka.
Animated International has released the Cosmetic Playlover manga volumes in English, and several platforms, including MangaPlaza and Coolmic, release the manga chapters digitally in English. The manga’s story is described below:

The original Cosmetic Playlover manga also inspired a live-action series, which premiered in Japan in August 2024. The series will receive a second season in January 2026 on Fuji TV.
